Personality Darcy is someone who appears confident and sure of herself on the outside and she mostly is confident and sure of herself. Having experienced a lot in her life, especially in the last few years since she started at Culver University and encountered the Hulk, Darcy has become even more adaptable and confident in herself and her abilities. Working for Jane as an intern - she sometimes still wonders why she applied for that specific role when it was completely outside of her degree - meant that she had to learn and adapt to situations incredibly quickly otherwise they might have ended up dead.
While Darcy might come off as brusque and sarcastic - which she is - she is more than happy to give her friends hope that something might happen. Despite that she will also be realistic and realise that after awhile that somethings just might not happen such as Thor returning to her and making sure that Jane moved on and didn't spend her time pining after him.
Darcy is incredibly street wise and is able to judge situations as dangerous or not instantly. She might have joked that Thor was freaking her out but caring the taser and actually using it when a potentially dangerous man appeared? That showed she was well aware of what might have occurred if he truly had meant them harm.
You might not immediately see it but Darcy is incredibly smart and observant. She picks up things quickly, which is why she succeed as Jane's RA for so long despite not having a history in astrophysics but also spotting Thor in the pictures which both Jane and Eric had missed. She's also incredibly well at reading people.
While she might joke around and have fun, she's intelligent, hard working and has her ambitions. She is obsessed with music and knows a lot of useless trivia about movies and tv shows but she also can talk for hours about the political environment of the world. She was also quite adept at using computers and accessing information that she isn't supposed to but despite that she isn't close to being an expert at it. Darcy is happiest when she's helping people in an environment that pushes her to grow and learn.
Physical description: Standing at 5'7, Darcy looks friendly and has a hidden strength in her. She has a tattoo of a butterfly on her hip.
Earth AU
Darcy Josephine Lewis was born on a hot summers day after twelve hours of labor.
While her parents loved her, they weren't constantly present in her life. She spent her days with her grandparents who were more than happy to look after her. She was a bright and happy child, who enjoyed human interaction and asking questions. She asked a lot of questions nearly constantly but her grandparents indulged her need to know what was happening.
At school, she thrived. She made a lot of friends, did well at her subjects and was curious about everything. Her teachers encouraged her to ask questions (to an extent) and it was something she took advantage of.
It was during her time at school that she met Thor and befriended him though they lost contact after they graduated.
She knew from an early age that she was bisexual and started to date not long after she hit thirteen. It wasn't until she was fifteen that she had her first serious relationship though.
Graduating school with high marks she was accepted into New York University to study a law degree. It was there that she met Mark who she would go on to become engaged too. Their relationship was rocky at the best of times and they would break off their engagement not long after her 25th birthday.
These days, Darcy is looking to get back on the dating scene though her hours at one of the top law firms are long and require a lot of work from her.
Personality: Darcy is curious by nature and loves to learn new things. In the little spare time that she has (when she's not out with friends something that she enjoys a lot) she will have her head in a book. Despite her bookworm tendencies she is a social person and thrives from being around people.
While she loves people she only has a couple of close friends - and numerous acquaintances - that she treasures. She's incredibly close to her grandparents due to the amount of time she spent with them while growing up but not so close with her parents though she has a cordial relationship with them.
Darcy wants to do good in the world and help people which is one reason she went into law. She dreams of going into politics to help people further. She believes she will do the most good in that field but she has a long time to go until she is even ready to move from being a lawyer to politics. She needs a lot more experience.
